Genexis launches FiberBox to support efficient upgrading of brownfield networks
Genexis, a leading European vendor of Optical Network Terminal (ONT) products for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH), today launches FiberBox, a new series of ONT products targeting passive optical networks (PON). Genexis FiberBox is a stand-alone ONT device suitable for wall mounting and desktop placement, and connects to any fiber termination unit (FTU) in the market. Its compact and sustainable design caters to the latest high-speed capabilities for end-users. The first products launched are the XGS2110 (XGS-PON) and G2110C-2.5G (GPON) models. The FiberBox XGS2110 enables effortless upgrading of existing networks by connecting to an existing FTU and simplifies transitioning from Point-to-Point or GPON to XGS-PON. The FiberBox G2110C-2.5G leverages the existing GPON network, offering services higher than 1 Gbps speed via its 2.5GE LAN port.
