Genexis, the European leader in innovative broadband solutions, reached several sustainability milestones during 2024, as presented in the company’s annual Sustainability Report. These include continued recognition as an industry leader in sustainable practices and surpassing industry targets.
“I’m proud that we have already reached a number of key sustainability targets and even outperformed industry standards. For instance, we are already 25% below the Code of Conduct allowance targets regarding energy consumption of new products, and we reached a 4% reduction in our products’ average annual electricity consumption. These results show that we are making significant progress beyond compliance on our products’ environmental footprint,” says Gerlas van den Hoven, CEO of Genexis Group.
Three highlights from 2024
- Awarded again with the EcoVadis Gold Medal as a sustainable leader in the top 2%
For the second consecutive year, Genexis was awarded the prestigious Gold Sustainability Medal from EcoVadis, the world’s leading provider of sustainability ratings. Genexis ranks among the top two percent of companies in their industry for sustainable practices. This award recognizes and confirms that Genexis is progressing in critical areas, including environment, labor, human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
- Achieved 100% renewable energy at Genexis offices
The target to use 100% renewable electricity procurement by 2025 has already been reached. This brings Genexis one step closer towards zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions at all Genexis offices by 2028.
- Decreased the unadjusted gender pay gap to 3%
This is a significant reduction and a major step towards pay equity. Compared to the tech industry, the pay disparity averages 26%.
