Hello Gouri, what is your role at Genexis?
Hi, I work as a Test Lead, overseeing Quality Assurance activities like Wi-Fi and Multi-AP testing for our various EasyMesh products.
What does a typical workweek look like for you?
I usually work from the office 2–3 days a week, which helps with face-to-face collaboration. I also work remotely 2 days a week, which gives me flexibility to support my young family. My team includes colleagues based in Stockholm and others in India, so my days involve a lot of cross-collaboration across different geographies.
What do you like most about working at Genexis?
The open work culture and flat organizational structure. The organization is very agile, which makes it easy for everyone’s voice to be heard. Besides work, there are always interesting after-work events and summer parties, which help you get to know your colleagues outside of the usual work setting. Genexis is also a diverse company and you always get to hear fascinating stories from people with different backgrounds and cultures.
Have you had opportunities to grow professionally since joining?
Yes, I started as a Test Engineer and was promoted to Test Lead two years ago. Since then, I’ve worked with many team members from other locations, especially India, which is also very enriching.
What is something you’ve accomplished at work that you’re especially proud of?
I created the entire Wi-Fi testbench (sniffer, client, etc.), which has performed well over the years and adapted to many changes.
What do you like most about your job?
The freedom to be creative. Even after 5 years, I still get to work on exciting projects. There’s always a good mix of maintenance and new challenges.
How did you get here—through studies or previous jobs?
I worked for about 10–11 years in India at companies like Marvell Semiconductor and Arista Networks before joining Genexis.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Be less stressed and more vocal about your choices and abilities.
Tell me about yourself.
I moved from Bengaluru, India to Stockholm in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic. I’m married and have a young son (almost 2 years old). I really enjoy living here, especially raising a child—Sweden is a very child-friendly country. As a family, we love traveling and experiencing new things. I also enjoy dancing and trying new restaurants.

Absolutely. Genexis offers a lot of freedom to explore, and you get to work with interesting people and products.
