Our commitment to a net zero future

At Genexis, we are committed to shaping a net zero and circular industry by 2050. As part of this journey, we offer product environmental reporting. This is a meaningful step toward transparency and impact reporting.

We believe that detailed, product-specific data is essential to enabling effective environmental strategies. These reports help you navigate evolving regulations, develop strong transition plans and accelerate sustainability ambitions.

From insight to impact

Carbon reduction

Genexis product environmental reports align with ESRS E1 (Climate Change) and ESRS E5 (Circular Economy), offering a practical, forward-looking complement to traditional tools like Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). Genexis contributed to the development of standardized Product Category Rules (PCRs) initiative through NLconnect, a Dutch Industry Association, a key foundation for conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and creating credible EPDs throughout Europe.

While EPDs remain of a valuable and recognized standard (available upon request), our standard product environmental reports provide:

  • Auditable, product-specific data on GHG emissions and circularity performance
  • Clear KPIs (e.g., share of circular inflow) to support climate transition plans and circularity targets.
  • Granular insights for confident, data-driven decisions
  • Support for compliance and strategic sustainability planning

These reports help move beyond spend-based estimates and toward actionable, transparent product-level insights aligned with stakeholder expectations.

  • Understanding product-level environmental impact
  • Meeting regulatory and other requirements
  • Accelerating net zero and circularity goals
  • Building credible, measurable transition plans

Measured with precision, backed by a proven methodology

Genexis product environmental reports follow the methodology aligned with the GHG Protocol Product Life Cycle Standard and the WBCSD Circular Transition Indicators (CTI v4). Each report assesses the environmental impact of one unit over a 10-year lifespan, using cradle-to-grave boundaries and a mass-based allocation method for multi-material components. Calculations are based on internal data and DEFRA emission factors, with the EU average electricity mix as the reference. We apply a ±10% uncertainty margin to account for data variability.

All assessments are reviewed by sustainability and product development teams to ensure quality, consistency, transparency, and traceability. While reports are not externally verified by default, Genexis applies rigorous internal validation and documentation practices in line with our Environmental Management System, ensuring reliability and audit readiness.

We also offer customized deployment scenarios, enabling you to align reporting with your operational context or strategic goals.
