Genexis is now one of the 64 current members and industry leaders to have joined the initiative.

25GS-PON Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) Group aims to promote and accelerate the development of 25 Gigabit Symmetric Passive Optical Network (25GS-PON) technology and define its specifications. Many of the world’s top operators and vendors see 25GS-PON as a crucial technology. It provides a cost-effective and timely network upgrade path that can meet the needs of the mobile 5G era and large-scale enterprises, where symmetrical connections become increasingly important.

“We are delighted to join 25GS-PON MSA Group and to work with other industry leaders and peers to move forward with fast fiber-based broadband technologies and the market. We can contribute via our expertise in PON technology and our continuous strive for open standards,” says Reinier Kramer, Head of Fiber-To-The-Home at Genexis.

“We welcome Genexis as a member of our robust ecosystem which consists of operators, optical device, semiconductor, component, and test equipment vendors, as well as design and manufacturing services companies, who share a common vision for 25GS-PON,” says Don Reckles, Steering Committee Chair for the 25GS-PON MSA Group. “25GS-PON solutions are already being commercially deployed by operators around the world enabling valuable new services beyond the capability of XGS-PON.”
