Another positive ‘Twist’ to our sustainability commitment

In today’s world, sustainability is becoming increasingly important for businesses and consumers. At Genexis, we recognize the importance of taking responsibility for our impact on the environment. That’s why we are proud to announce that the material used for the housing of the FiberTwist (O)NT now consists of 90% recycled plastic, aligning with our sustainability vision.

The importance of using recycled plastic

The use of recycled plastic is crucial in reducing waste and preserving our planet. Plastic waste is one of the biggest environmental challenges we face today. By using recycled plastic, we are diverting plastic from landfills and oceans, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and conserving natural resources

Recycled plastic in the FiberTwist

For the visible parts of the FiberTwist, we use 85% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content. This means that the plastic used in these parts has been previously used by consumers and then collected, processed, and turned into a new product. The material has the same white color as the existing material, so no one will notice any difference in appearance.

For the non-visible parts of the FiberTwist, we use 99% PCR content, with a grey color. This means that nearly all of the plastic used in these parts has been recycled. On average, this leads to 90% recycled plastic for the housing of the FiberTwist

Commitment of continuous improvement

We understand that sustainability is a journey, and we are committed at Genexis to continuously improve our products and processes. We strive to improve our portfolio with recycled plastic as much as possible. By doing so, we hope to inspire others to adopt more sustainable practices and contribute to a healthier planet.

Same product, better for the planet

In conclusion, we are excited to share that the FiberTwist now consists of 90% recycled plastic, while maintaining the same stylish look. In other words: Same product, better for the planet.

This is a significant step towards our sustainability vision, and we are committed to continue making progress towards a more sustainable future.
