Your role as Fiber Network Engineer
You will serve as the primary technical interface between Genexis and our customers who utilize Genexis’ cutting-edge, high-speed optical products such as the Genexis Fibertwist and Fiberbox. Following a comprehensive onboarding process, tailored to your current technical proficiency, your primary responsibility will be to engage in the interoperability process. This involves facilitating the seamless integration of our network products with various customer network equipment, such as OLTs. For this, we have created a high-tech PON lab which the TechTeam maintains and upgrades. Gradually, you will take ownership of customer requests, enabling you to develop complete solutions independently.

You are self-motivated and eager to learn the latest high-speed fiber connectivity solutions. You have a flexible attitude and love to explain technology in simple ways to customers to make complex concepts easy to understand. Your passion for technology and a strong desire for continuous personal and professional growth is essential, given the rapid changes in the fiber network market and technology. Familiarity with and appreciation for Dutch culture will further enhance your effectiveness in this role.
Skills & experience
You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Dutch language. You can operate at the level expected of individuals with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields such as Computer Science or Embedded Systems. Holding certifications like CCNA/CCNP, you have experience or interest in networking technologies and protocols such as DHCP, OSI layers, Point-to-Point, and Passive Optical Networks (PON) topologies. With a hands-on mentality, you are eager to actively use our products and software, becoming familiar with their functions and features, in the end, our customers see you as the specialist which they should ask for help. You’re not afraid to venture into new high-tech territories; in fact, it excites and enthuses you.
