Tech Team

Your role within Genexis

You are in the middle of the Genexis organisation as a trusted creator of technical documentation. This documentation includes datasheets, product / software manuals, release notes, configuration guides and application notes to enable our customers to use our products and software. You work as the interface between Genexis development teams on the one hand and the Genexis support team and the customers on the other hand. The development teams will explain you all about our new products. This can be both hardware or software products. It is your task to describe these new products in such a way they are understandable and useable for our customers. Since you also help to highlight the quality and unique selling points, the documentation that you create is an important tool for our marketing and sales teams.

Your responsibilities

After an extensive onboarding process, you take ownership of the required documentation deliverables. You will be in close contact with various business line managers and you plan your activities in a proactive way to meet the business demand.

As part of the TechTeam you are able to get early feedback out of the field regarding new products and software releases, if needed you update documents to minimize repeating field complaints.

Besides the external part of the product documentation, you assure that the internal firmware release notes are complete and contain the results of the required interoperational sequences. In this way you help the new automation team to perform End-2-End testing to meet supported deployment scenarios.

Your experience & character

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and interested in becoming familiar with latest and greatest connectivity solutions in diverse deployment scenarios, with a strong focus on Fiber-to-the-Home networks. Only then you know how to describe the products, functions and features in such a way that our customers and internal organisation can use them. All team members will of course help you to become successful in this role. You’ll need a combination of technical know-how, a passion for putting high-tech information in writing, and managing different documentation sets based on expertise out of the different Software Development sites (e.g. Sweden, Belgium, India).

You have a flexible attitude and love to teach and explain technology in a simple way. You are a fast learner, analytically strong, and not afraid of unknown territories. You are eager to continuously develop and improve yourself and the overall quality of the documentation. It is an advantage if you are experienced in structurizing and re-using technical documentation with the use of tools like Markdown or Adobe InDesign. Any other experience with creating documentation as code with other systems is helpful (e.g. LateX or Dita).

Your skills

  • Having great technical and communication skills, both verbal and in writing. Your level of English writing is excellent/native
  • Having a passion for technology and describing that technology in transparent technical product information
  • Acting on a technical Bachelor’s degree, preferable holding a technical degree yourself (Electronics, telecommunications, Computer Science or Human Technology Interaction)
  • Having a basic understanding of software and applications, to enable you to create documentation for the provisioning of devices and how to create standard configurations using scripts etc.
  • Preferably have experience with Networking technologies and protocols like: DHCP/OSI layers, Point-to-Point, and PON topologies or have a strong drive to become familiar with the terms and technologies
  • Having a hands-on mentality, and are willing to actively use our products and software as part of becoming familiar with the functions and features
  • Having a proactive behaviour to get and bring information and updates from and to the different stakeholders within Genexis
  • Being a quick learner while paying attention to details
  • Being able to work on multiple projects simultaneously but can focus on the key projects to meet agreed timelines
  • Good at providing structure in your documents and can write easy to read documents
  • Being dedicated, autonomous and enjoying working in a dynamic environment. You know how to participate in projects and are willing to develop yourself further in a growing company

What we offer you

  • Competitive salary in line with your education, skills and relevant work experience
  • Technical challenges in a dynamic, multicultural environment together with a no-nonsense corporate culture
  • Working in an enthusiastic team in which everyone is willing to help you and explain you the details
  • Great growth opportunities within the company
  • Product company with a long-term vision, working on a great tech stack with cutting edge fiber technologies for true broadband networks and products
  • Working part-time is possible with a minimum of 32 hours a week up to fulltime
